Katherine graduated from St. John’s University with a degree in Criminal Justice, she then attended Touro Law School. It was at Touro Law that she began her legal career, as an intern in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. Throughout her three years of law school, Katherine maintained a full-time internship under the supervision of Assistant District Attorneys in the Rackets Bureau. She also assisted in the trial preparation and prosecution of dozens of cases involving complex and long-term investigations including white-collar crimes, frauds, money laundering, and wiretaps.

After graduating Touro Law School, Katherine became an Assistant District Attorney in Kings County, Brooklyn, assigned to Trial Bureau 1, where she quickly earned a reputation as a tough but fair trial attorney. Katherine managed the investigations, indictments, and trials of a wide range of misdemeanors and felony cases, from DWI’s to drug charges, to sex crimes and violent felony offenses. Katherine quickly rose to the level of Senior Trial Attorney after having tried 8 major felony trials to verdict in less than four years.

After leaving the District Attorney’s Office to enter private practice, Katherine joined a well-known major NY firm where she gained a wide range of experience defending various health care professionals and facilities in legal actions. Along with the civil practice, Katherine was designated by the firm to handle any incoming criminal defense cases in various counties of New York.

Since 2018, Katherine has been an active member of the Suffolk County Bar, where she has defended dozens of some of the most serious violent felonies in Suffolk County, including Vehicular Manslaughters and Homicides.

In September of 2020, Katherine selected the first post-COVID jury in the entire State of New York before the Honorable Judge Cohen in Suffolk County, NY, continuing to add to her vast experience in this ever-changing world.

Katherine has been admitted to practice law in New York State since 2012. She is an active member of the Kings County Women’s Bar Association, the Suffolk County Criminal Bar Association, the Nassau-Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association, and the Kings County Criminal Bar Association.

Katherine’s vast experience as a former prosecutor combined with her experience as a defense attorney has given her a unique perspective and advantage to mounting a strong defense from both sides of the table.

When she isn’t dominating the court room, Katherine proudly volunteers her time in her children's youth sports organizations and also serves as an active Board member on her son’s travel youth Football league.
